Elastase is a kind of serine protease, composed of 240 amino acid residues in a single peptide chain. Mr is about 25000daltons, PI is 9.5 It can hydrolyzeamino compounds and esters. Soluble in water , insoluble in ethanol ,hydroscopic.

Application

--In clinical, used for treating hyperlipidemia,prevent atherosclerosis, fatty liver disease., etc.
